From a young age, Pelosi had a strong involvement in politics, supporting her father at his campaign events. As her career progressed, Nancy Pelosi went on to serve as the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, holding the position from 2019 to the present, and previously from 2007 to 2011.
Having been a US Representative from California since 1987, Nancy Pelosi is a prominent member of the Democratic Party and holds the distinction of being the only woman in the US to serve as Speaker of the House.
In January 2022, Pelosi declared her intention to seek reelection as a US Representative that year, despite her previous pledge in 2018 not to seek the speakership again.
